MilkMaidRanch Ciara

MilkMaidRanch E Love Me Tender

Ciara is a very short and squaty doe. Milks wonderfully and produces kids with leg and length to them. The kind of doe that when you look at her you think she's not much but adds the bucks qualities to her kids. It is for this reason she's on my "Never Sell" list. She is also milked for the house every year and has a butter soft udder that she's passed on to her doe kids. The Texan is her son. She was bred to Elvis on 8/6/09 & on Dec. 30, 2009 had a single doeling that is gold and white with blue eyes. Her name will be MilkMaidRanch E Love Me Tender. I will be breeding Ciara to Don Juan in 2010 and will be on pins and needles waiting for those kids.

Davinchi is what every breeder wants in their herd. I have to start by saying he is not mine but the owner is letting me use him on a few of my doe's. He has never been exposed to a doe so I know he's clean. He comes from Tony Bates in Mead, OK and was sold to Cynthia Martin in Ft. Smith, Ark. He bred Lolly Pop for may kids.

Davinchi's bloodlines read like the queen of England's heritage. He has 33 Champions in his line and as an example: ARMCH Rosasharon Unagi 4 *D E, Rosasharon FS Polaris(sire of National Champion Sr. Buck High Point Arnoth) MCH Twin Creeks BW Fantasia 2 *D E(06 AGS Reserve National Champion), Buffalo Clover Princess *D (NDGA National Champion Sr. Doe & Best Udder) This is just a few of them. 1st GENERATION MINIATURE ALPINE SR.DOE'S

MilkMaidRanch P Aruba

MilkMaidRanch E Montego Bay

The Miniature Alpine's are a cross between the standard sized Alpine doe's and a Nigerian Dwarf buck. The first cross is the first generation. By breeding a 1st gen. to another 1st gen. you will get the 2nd generation and so on. The reason for breeding for the mini's is they eat less but produce plenty of milk, more than the Niger's do. With the sire being the Niger. the size of the kids at birth are smaller so the mom has an easier time of delivery. Kids will grow fast but stay smaller in height and the dairy qualities are there.

This first Mini-Alpine is my favorite, Aruba. She is very friendly and usually I don't milk a first time freshener but she impressed me with her udder in 08 so much that I milked her and she's done a great job. On Feb 19, 2010 she had her first set of twins, a buck and a doe sired by Nashville. This girl continues to impress me. She also has nursed kids that are not hers. Photo's of her 2010 kids will be up in a few days.

Aruba's offspring: 2nd generations
MilkMaidRanch MS Gaston 08 - Buck
MilkMaidRanch MS Honolulu 09 - Doeling(full sister to Gaston)
MilkMaidRanch Na Rod of Iron 10
MilkMaidRanch Na Texarkana 10
___________________________________________

Montego is a small doe but has a socked on udder and another one I broke my rule of not milking a first freshener in 08. I think this doe will be my best Mini-Alpine milker. She's a wonderful mom and surpasses everything I expected in my Mini-Alpine's. Her kids are 2nd generations and Gaston is their sire. She is bred to Nashville for the 2010 kidding season.

Montego Bay's offspring: 2nd generations
MilkMaidRanch Ga Fancy Girl 09
MilkMaidRanch Ga Joel 09

****NEWS Montego Bay came in first in the MDGA Fall V-show class for Dry Doe's, Aruba was second place.

MilkMaidRanch E Sonnet

MilkMaidRanch G Dixie

Sonnet is Aruba's half sister by the dam. She has her sisters udder and I'm very happy about that. She is bred to Nashville for the 09 fall breeding season. Reed's Golden Elvis is her sire and she has his blue eyes.

For the 2010 kidding season Dixie had Nashville's first son that is named Memphis. He was born on Feb. 14th and is a classic Cou Blanc. I can't wait to see him grow into a strong herd buck and he is for sale.

Dixie's offspring are: 2nd generations
MilkMaidRanch Ga Nancy Sinatra 09
MilkMaidRanch Na Memphis 10

1st GENERATION MINIATURE ALPINE Jr. DOE'S

Ivy Gables Ob Virginia SOLD

Ginny is a wonderful addition to Milk Maid Ranch last summer. She is the daughter of Iron Rod STG Sustina from the state of Virginia, therefore her name. The Nigerian sire is Corner Stone Farm STS Obadiah. I could not be happier to have she and her brother, Nash, in my herd. Plus she has blue eyes that I love so much. It will be intersting to see what she and Mr. Sinatra produce. She is due in April 2010.

For the indepth genetics on Ginny look at her brother, Nash. Ginny has been SOLD and now lives in MO, thank you Stacey.

She was bred to Gaston on 8/6/09 and on 1/2/10 she had a Chamo doeling and Chamo with wide white band buck kid. With the number of kids she has given me I am going to sell Kokomo. She is a 2nd generation Mini-Alpine with a wonderful udder and great personality, friendly. A good adition to any herd for passing on udder attachment. $200.
Kokomo's offspring are:

MilkMaidRanch Ga Florida Keys 10 3rd gen doeling
MilkMaidRanch Ga Krakatoa 10 3rd gen buckling
___________________________________________

Sarabi is a wonderful doe and 09 was her first freshening. She twined with the first 3rd generation buckling listed below. Her udder is very well attached and her kids are really growing. Very pleased with her as she is a shorter doe. A very easy kidder. She was bred to Nashville for her 2010 kids. I decided to breed her to Nash to see if he can put some height on her kids as she is smaller. Any kids from this breeding will be the 2nd generation. On Feb. 12, 2010 she had twin doe's that are identical. Sarabi and her twins will be headed to a new home with Flossy south of Waco, TX. Thank you Kim and congrats on the new baby, 2 legged.

Sarabi's offspring are: 3rd generations

MilkMaidRanch MS Tasha

There will be a photo up soon of Tasha. She's the twin sister to Flossy. Their dam is MilkMaidRanch Angie and she was sold in 2008. I was hoping her girls would have her udder and teats for hand milking and they have lived up to their mom. Mr. Sinatra is their sire.

Tasha was very small as a weanling. I almost didn't keep her or register her. I'm very happy I let her have the time to grow and come into her own. She's now a first time freshener with twins. A buckling named The Boss and a doeling named Carol King. For now Tasha will be staying put to produce more 3rd generation kids and will be in my milking string this year.

2ND GENERATION MINIATURE ALPINE BUCKS

MilkMaidRanch MS Gaston - SOLD

Gaston is Aruba's son by Mr. Sinatra. He is the sire to all the 3rd Generation kids that were born in 2009 and 2010. Nice, calm attitude and good to work with. He's also the full brother to Honolulu, she is a year younger. Gaston is SOLD and is now living in Oklahoma and will has bred some Mini-Alpine's owned by Linda Sennott. He was able to breed my 2nd generation doe's for the 2010 kidding season and I am very pleased with his second season of kids. His sons from 2009 will be yearlings in April and are for sale. They are on the "Goats For Sale" page.

2nd GENERATION MINI-ALPINE JR. DOE'S

MilkMaidRanch MS Honolulu

MilkMaidRanch Ga Nancy Sinatra

Honolulu(Lulu) was such a surprise to me. I was expecting twins from Aruba and when I saw her hooves were so large I was thinking another buckling. My mouth dropped when I saw she was a doeling. Oh, the tears of joy. I am keeping Lulu for my breeding program and plan on spoiling her, which won't be hard. She is also the full sister to Gaston but was born the year after he was. She was bred to Nashville in Sept. Photo taken 9/27/09
*****NEWS on Feb 5th Lulu had Nashville's first kid, a doe at that. Fantasy Island is the image of her dad.
Honolulu's offspring are:

MilkMaidRanch Na Fantasy Isand

__________________________________________________________________

Nancy is a 2nd generation and a doll of a doe and was a twin. The twin doeling was sold. Nancy is very dairy and true to the Alpine breed for coloring of a Cou Blanc. I don't know who will be breeding her so for now she will just be growing.
Her sire is Gaston
Her dam is Dixie.

MilkMaidRanch Ga Fancy Girl

MilkMaidRanch Ga Sashay

Fancy is Montego Bay's daughter from twins, the other being the buckling named Joel. I am so thrilled with this doeling. She is so dairy and is growing nicely but has a way to go so she was not bred last fall.

_________________________________________________________________________________

This doe is on the wild side, it will be that way till she realizes she needs to rely on me to get fed. I like to sit and see the wild kids change their minds that I'm not the Boogy Man. LOL Her dam is Sonnet and she gets that wild spirit from her. It will be amusing to watch her change her mind. She has a twin sister that was sold.
Sonnet is Aruba's half sister by their mom so I expect the udder on this doeling to be very good.
Gaston is her sire.

3RD GENERATION MINIATURE ALPINE DOE'S

MilkMaidRanch Ga Tootsie Roll

MilkMaidRanch Ga Dip N' Dots

These 2 doelings are twins and are the first of my 3rd generation M-Alpine's to be born in 2009 for Milk Maid Ranch as our first American Mini-Alpines were born and I love what I see.

Tootsie Roll is developing into a long doeling. She was the smaller of the 2 but has put on a bloom. She came in first place in the Jr. Doe Kids class on the MDGA Fall V-Show.
________________________________________________

Dip N' Dots is growing very nicely and is a very alert doeling. Dot's came in 2nd in the MDGA Fall V-show. She was bred to Joel for an March 10 kid. She's bagging up and I'm getting excited.

Kokomo is their dam and Gaston their sire.

MilkMaidRanch Ga Ivy League

MilkMaidRanch Ga Sweet Thing

Ivy is Sarabi's doe and is the twin of MMR Ga Tray a 3rd gen buckling. Ivy will not be bred till the fall of 2010. She is on the smaller side of life at the moment so she needs to grow.
Dam is MilkMaidRanch G Sarabi (the G in this doe is for her sire: Galloway, no photo, he was Mr. Sinatra's sire)
Sire is MilkMaidRanch MS Gaston

______________________________________________________________________

Sweet Thing's dam is Sweet Heart so she is Kokomo's granddaughter. She's very flashy and a broken Chamo. Will not be bred till the fall of 2010. In Jan 2010 she had a full sister born named Sweat Pea.

NOTE: I will be keeping all my 3rd Generation's this year. There are no others that I can find in the country so I need to keep all of them. There were a total of 6 born in 09 with only 2 bucks.

THE GUARDIAN'S OF MILK MAID RANCH

Kanga(adult dog) and Kubby(pup)

Kubby at 8 weeks old 09

I don't know what I'd do without my Great Pyrenees dogs. They do their job so well and don't have to be trained to do it. I've trained so many puppies over the years for obedience and it amazes me that I didn't have to do a thing to teach the GP's to do their jobs. They know their names and that's it. Kanga came to us as a pup at 10 weeks old in Dec. 2001 from a lady in Oklahoma and I have to say he has spoiled me. He's gone beyond what I ever thought a guardian dog would do. I've watched him kill a coyote that was dumb enough to challenge him. Took Kanga 4 seconds to grab it by the neck and slam him to the ground and break its neck. Not one drop of blood.

In April of 2009 Kubby came to us and he's a clone of Kanga(not really). They have the same personality and with Kanga as a teacher, Kubby will be able to take over when the time comes. He is such a good puppy. He goes out with the herd every day when Kanga goes and checks the fence lines. If one kid stays in the barnyard, Kubby is with it till the herd comes back in.

9/8/09 Kubby is almost the height of Kanga and I'm having a hard time telling them apart when they are out in the pasture & I'm looking from a distance. LOL

I DO NOT breed PG's, they are neutered to keep their minds on their job.

Kubby at 5 months old
